Kedleston French Polishers are a local
based company in Derbyshire that create individual,
bespoke handmade Memory Boxes; their craftsmen also
make handmade furniture, each piece is bespoke to order,
and skilled craftsmen restore antique furniture, and
re upholster furniture in Designer Fabrics.
Memory Boxes
Each of the marquetry
keepsake chests is handmade to order, created from
a carefully chosen variety of ethically and renewably
sourced selection of exotic and British timbers. Incorporated
into the box is intricate marquetry work depicting pastimes, passions
or achievements of the person for whom the box was commissioned.
Handmade Furniture
Our Cabinet Makers, French Polishers and Upholsterers
are all timed served artisans, and are fully trained
craftsmen. They create beautiful handmade furniture
to order and clients' specifications, again a variety
of ethical timbers are sourced to create beautiful bespoke
pieces.
Designer Fabric Upholstery
Using a variety of Designer Fabrics (Sandersons, Baker,
William Morris to name a few) our Upholsterers can turn
your faded old armchair into a stylishly covered, handsome
piece of furniture that will grace any home.
All work is carried out professionally
and ethically and traditionally -foam and staples are
not used.
Antique Restoration
We have been involved in the furniture restoration business
for generations, and are renowned for our skill, dedication
and attention to detail when it comes to restoring antique
furniture or period properties. We fully understand
when to conserve a piece and when to restore it.
